I appreciate the guest post, Graig Brooks
Shopping for groceries is something many people dread, but inside my family, we love doing it and have fun with process as well. Usually as a family, we go twice a week Monday's and Fridays as this lets us get what we need. Coupons are something we use as a family more and more each week. Sometimes I will cut them out from our local newspapers and other times my kids will print them online. Yes, my kids also love saving money and by letting them print out coupons, it keeps their interest in these trips every week.
We tend to visit our local grocery stores, but we also have traveled to other cities if we hear about something that has a great value. These shopping trips also serve to help my kids understand the value of grocery shopping and saving money when you can. Before we leave, we set the home security alarm to protect our valuables. For more about my alarm system click here . Some of our typical purchases are meat, cheeses, milk, bread, and canned goods. Each kid is given a list of things to buy as this helps them understand the process of shopping for groceries and the cost. No matter what we all have fun and these trips have helped us get even closer which is a good thing.
